My Installation class is working with Mosaic on Burleigh. We are installing photo installations into the windows of local shops. These images are from my friend Megan and I's collaboration. Each image (sphere) was printed at about 21-22 inches in diameter and than mounted on circular foam core, they will be hanging in the windows with other 3-D spheres, including glass spheres. the objet: to create the feel of music through color and textiles. These images I created through layers of images and color.

Mosaic on Burleigh is a great non-profit organization that I have had the privilege to work with- and will continue to work with them as Hanle Productions adopts this organization. Check out what is going on by clicking on the link.

It has been to long since I have posted on my blogger!! Sorry for such a long wait....I have so much to post...but first I am going to start with a project that I am continuing to expand on.."My Leota" fabricated memories and thoughts on my Great Grandmother who I never had the pleasure of meeting...I have been fascinated in thinking of the past- of my ancestry, the secrets that lie buried and unknown...this piece is dedicated to my Aunt Kaye (my Great Grandmother Leota's only daughter) Hope you enjoy these- please click on them to increase the size in another window in order to read the text that I wrote for each image...(sorry they are sort of out of order).

John loves his tea.

We had a great Easter Celebration, we enjoyed good company and warm rich foods. I seriously loved everything, it was super fun to prepare for. I used a cheap bright green polka doted wrapping paper as a table runner. two tin cans with a ribbon glued around filled with purple tulips for the main centerpieces...super easy and super cheap- the tin cans I just collected from using canned foods during the week. I also used some old cloth napkins than Anthony had sewn for my bridal shower a while back (yes that is right my husband can sew) and I tied them up with a little green ribbon. Chocolate Cadbury eggs for decoration in cute little purple bowls from Target. Each guest had a vintage tea cup (all different colors).

Hi all-

I should of send out an email or posted this sooner...but I totally forgot in the mess of moving! We moved!!! We now have a new home and a new home for our studio!! In the mean time our phones have been down for the last 5 days! And so has our internet! they are hopefully coming to fix it tomorrow! I am so sorry if anyone has called or emailed and i have not been able to respond in a timely manner- I will try to get back as soon as I can- and just in case you don't hear from me call again, cus I might never get your message (due to the phones being down).

for those of you who do not know yet...onFeb. 16th my beautiful and very special kitty died...he was the a joy in our lives and will forever by missed. I love you Mr. Chelsey! He had 13 wonderful years of life! We are heartbroken to see him go.

happy valentines day!!!

so i have been experimenting with my new lens i got from my wonderful hubby! he spoils me rotten- it was an early valentines gift on monday! so i had to take it to work and take a few new pics with it ---here they are! more of the adorable little John.

i feel so blessed to have such a great husband and best friend! he truly is amazing- and he truly likes to spoil me....I asked him "is your valentine present under the 10 dollar limit?" we had no limit but in my mind i was thinking it was 10 dollars cus all i got for him were some cute valentine boxers (pink) from Old Navy and they only cost $8.50!...hehe! and he started laughing, "ten dollars! Brittany you don't need to get me anything." but i was very worried cus he told me he got me 4 things and i was thinking $8.50!! the first one i found out about on Monday (my lens) the rest where exchanged this morning.

One of my gifts was hand written---it was his wedding vows to me written in our journal (which was my wedding gift to him) I have been begging him to write his vows in the journal after i wrote mine- all he had to do was copy them (handwrite them in) and he claims he is a super slow writer, which he is! but that is no reason to have taken 1.5 years to write them in the journal!! lol! Anyways he finally wrote them....;-) so i am a happy camper! and they are beautiful...so i wanted to share them!

check out these cute shadow boxes---what a great way to save some special items--and display them (instead of stored in a box on the top shelf of a closet never to be seen again)

aww and than the idea board! all artist have to have an idea board! i love the string with a pin or cloths pin idea! or the big coark bord with lots of things all over it ( i mean big- like a 5ftx5ft board)

Anthony and I had a great weekend...we chilled in on Friday...babysat John on Saturday...he loves when Anthony comes to play with him!! Then we just chilled in that night and watched a movie....License to Wed! Which is actually very funny!! laugh your pants off funny! than today my new friend Kristen came over and she was my subject for a new project I am working on for school...here are a few fun photos (the non serious-oh so conceptual ones). some glamor shots----strike a poss! Did i mention i got like so much work done this weekend! Lots of photos edited...and lots of cleaning...but very little research done for my project--haha tomorrow maybe ;-) oh and i made a cake....

So upcoming....we might be moving ---more details later when it becomes more official! it might not even happen so i am not going to bother getting my hopes up!

What is your Payment Policy?

All payments are due in full 2 weeks before your session. If you have booked a bridal package half of your payment is due on the day of the booking and the other half is due one month before your event day. If this payment plan does not work for you, we understand and can accommodate to your needs with other options. If you have booked a Senior Package, half of your payment is due one month before your session day and the other half is due the day of your senior session. You are always welcome to pay in full on the day of your booking.

When do late fees apply?

If payments are not received on time there will be an additional charge of $50.

Canceling & Rescheduling

We understand that things come up and emergencies happen. Not to worry, if you need to rebook your session we would be more than happy to. If you need to cancel your session and do not plan to rebook we will refund you ¾ of your received payments. Please cancel all portrait sessions 4 hours before your session time, if the cancellation is not confirmed before this time no refund will be received. Some special circumstances may apply.

What are the Copyright laws in regards to my images?

Scanning ANY hanle production products or images is ILLEGAL! The reproduction of our images without permission is against the law and will not be tolerated. Please value and respect the hard work and dedication that is involved with your images, they are taken and edited with care and passion we hope that you would value you them as much as we do and choose not TO SCAN OR REPRODUCE IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE!
All photos will be available for ordering and viewing on my proofing page.
Some exceptions apply: If purchase a CD of your images, you are than allowed to reproduce them, or use them for Internet purposes, such as blogs, facebook, or myspace.

What are some great locations for an outdoor shoot?

There are so many great locations just in the Milwaukee area. Try to think of place that best describe you, your family or you and your finance.

Parks
Farms
Field (tall grass is so dreamy – and romantic)
The Third Ward
Downtown
By the lake or a lake
At your own home
By a River
A restaurant or fav. coffee shop
A rustic and/or Rusty old building

Do you offer Studio sessions?

Yes!! We are in the middle of setting up our studio right now and should have it up and running by this summer of 08! Studio sessions are great for Maternity, Newborns, Bridal, and Senior Sessions! Add some light, some drama----and then ACTION!

How many images should I expect to have in my proofing gallery?

With a 2 hour photo session you can expect to have between 25-30 finished images. If you have an extended senior package expect to have anything between 50 and 100 images. For weddings expect to have anything between 400 and 650 finished images (depending on hour package).

How long should I expect until my images are completed?

You can expect between three weeks and one and a half months depending on the package you select.

What should I wear?

Bring a variety of different clothing items to you session, vary the colors and spice it up a little. Bring something that is you, something that is classic, something that is fun or romantic! If you are having a bridal session than bring your Wedding gown of course! Try to wear colors and cloths that best fit you and your body. If something does not fit right at home, it will not fit well in your photos- use the mirror as your judge (or a friend) you want to pick items that will best flatter you.

If you are going to be outdoors- natural colors look great! If you will be inside darker colors work very well. Choose what you love- you will feel the most confident in it!

Think of accessories as well! They are fun and can add spunk and charm to any image. For example jackets, hats, sunglasses, and scarves.
If you’re a darling little girl maybe a pink tutu would be fun or even a boa!

Avoid large names and logos! And don’t forget to bring the proper undergarments for each item!

While we are on the “what to wear” how about the hair!? Try to keep it natural, if your going to try a new style or color- go for it- but test it out a month in advance to be safe. You would hate to do it the day before your session and than end up not liking it!

How should I dress my infant?

With very little! Busy little outfits just don’t work- they drown in the little things. We will be working with bare skin, and even go without a diaper- so crank up the heat to keep your little one warm.

How early should I schedule my first infant session?

As early as you can! You can schedule your appointment for after your due date. Don’t worry we know that babies are stubborn and don’t always want to come out on time! We want to photograph the first session between 5-10 days old. This also allows for you to get your baby announcements out A.S.A.P!

When should I schedule my maternity session?

You can schedule your maternity session as far in advance as you like- schedule it for the between the end of your 7th month and into the beginning of the 8th month.

Got any tips for my Senior Session?

Tans: careful ladies! A Sunburn can not be magically removed in Photoshop! So be very careful when tanning or going to tanning beds. Burnt skin will just result in you being an unhappy camper.

Nails: Nails to show up in photos so be sure to have them finished how you like- this includes your toes as well!

Don’t forget about these fun things for your senior session as well: cars, motorcycles, pets, sports equipment, music, instruments, and friends!

How about some make-up advice?

Preparing the face:

-Wash, exfoliate, tone and moisturize your face before applying make up
-Use both SPF-free moisturizer and foundation to prevent reflection and to enhance natural glow
-Use translucent powder to set
-Oil control is very important. If you can, use oil free formulated products
-Keep hair away from the face
-To reduce puffy eyes, use Preparation H

Foundation:

-Choose a thicker formulated foundation rather than the sheers ones that are used in daily applications so that all blemishes are covered easily
-Blend foundation from chin to neck so that they are of the same color

Powder:

-Use lots of it, and reapply between shots, to create a mat finish look

Concealer:

-2 shades lighter than skin to cover blemishes and dark spots; apply before foundation application

Cheeks:

-Add some color to your cheeks, a petal pink on the cheekbones brightens up the face!

Eyes:

-Well-groomed eyebrows are a must!
-Highlight eyebrow bones using light shadow to create lively eyes
-Avoid eye-shadow that is too frosty or shimmery – it’ll appear shiny
-Apply eyeliner with precision- brown is a good alternative and compliments light eye-shadows
-Use black waterproof mascara

Lips:

Lips are best in reds, berries and browns. No frosted pink please! Glosses! Glosses! Glosses!

Engagement

Engagement sessions are very fun and they usually take from 2 and a half to 3 hours (sometimes longer). Traveling to different locations, or a special place of significance to the couple can create some of the most intimate settings, whether a park, a church, or favorite date location. These sessions are energetic and romantic. Sessions are $250, and include basic touch-ups and creative edits and online proofing and ordering.

Bridal "Just for the bride"

Surprise your honey with photos from a very special session for just the bride. This can be booked before the wedding or right after. The session is a special block of time, between 2-3 hours, for just the bride with more detailed, intimate and creative shots of the bride in her beautiful dress. Sessions are $250, and includes basic touch-ups and creative edits.

Let us be a part of your special day. Our wedding packages all include basic touch-ups and creative edits along with online proofing and ordering

Anniversary

Want to relive the special moments of your wedding day again. Sessions are $250 and are usually 2-3 hours, this includes basic touch-ups and creative edits along with a personalized package of prints.

Family, Children, Child, Toddler, Infant

Children grow up so fast, before you know it they will be off to college. We want to help you capture and cherish the special moments of your family. These sessions are laid back, relaxing and usually last around 2 hours hours. We like to come to you at your home, or your favorite location.

If you looking to have something new and fresh to decorate your kitchen with check out the spice and herb prints!! I know some of you have been waiting long for my to finish these in a 10by10 form! Finally they are here! Hurray! I have created to proofing galleries- one with the original sizes (you can order these in what ever size you like- although i would not recommend a square format like 10by10- the text may get copped off- but all this can be check before ordering- simply by clicking "buy this print" than click on the size and to the left it will show you the image- and how it is cropping the image...so that way you can approve first hand).

The second Gallery has the 10by10 prints- these are to only be ordered in the 10by10 inch size! I would recommend doing a lustre finish- it is beautiful - i love matte- and seriously i never was fond of the glossy - but the Smugmug images in glossy are amazing!

CD's------the new policy!

We are now offering CD's -

In the past a digital Cd has been included with your session. But for artistic reasons and for reason to protect my work I have decided that CD's will now be an extra charge for a few reasons.

1. It protects the work of Hanle Productions- by giving out free CD's i am openly allowing my clients to be able to print my images at low quality locations such as Walmart-or Walgreens, which does not print at very good standards and could make my perfected and well cared for images look different than intended- such as the colors looking funky- and all that jazz...

2. My services being offered are an art form- and i would ask that others would respect and value the time and commitment that goes into each print...that being said, the images deserve to be printed with the best quality and color technology- this insures the happiness of me and of my clients! you want your images to last- and you want them to look just as beautiful in prints as they do on the computer- we want the best quality for everyone.

All sessions booked prier to February 1st of 2008- you will still receive your digital CD. Sessions booked after this date.......Cd's can be purchased on request. They are $150 and come wrapped in a folio in the color of your choose- they are very beautiful- ask me about this for further information.

New Updates!!!

First off we now have the postcards ready----I have ordered them to be printed- let me know if anyone would like some to give out to friends and family! Or you can drag them off the desk top to email to friends! I will be having lots of new posts in the next few days....a lot that have been long in coming! Sadly my winter break was not as relaxing as i had hoped- i thought it would be a time to catch up on a lot of work---but it turned out to fill up with a lot of other business---so apologies for the delays in photos and so on.

this week has been filled with ups and downs- well weekend and week...
an "up" or "highlight" was---a new du- thanks to the great family i nanny for- this was my Christmas present- a pampering afternoon at the salon!

so i had a style in mind....but i kind of just left it in the hands of the artist- crazy how you go to a salon and have to instantly trust that you will love their work without even seeing a preview! lol! but she did an amazing job- my hair is a bit more red than i thought it would be...and a lot shorter- i have not had short hair in almost 4 years so it is very refreshing- i kind of want to go shorter....and i have bangs now- i here that is the new thing now....lol what would i know.

p.S Anthony loves it! he was like "woo where did my wife go, she is like missing" strange how a new du does millions for your confidence.

Katie and Nick were married Jan. 2nd (right after the new year) at an adorable little church called Gates of Heaven in Madison, WI. After the beautiful ceremony (it was only like 15 minutes long!) they had a reception at The Barn, it was all very romantic and the food was amazing thanks to Katie's very talented brother-in law who catered the event!

I just love this shot! I caught it just in time, Katie was looking at the ladies behind her that were helping her get ready...i love how the light is just gleaming on her.

so romantic- a true fairy-tale story- they meet in Australia while they were both going on a personal travel adventure, fell in love, and when Katie got back home immediately booked a flight to England (where Nick is from) to go see him---than he proposed to her and she made him wait 2 whole months before she finally said YES!! The rest is history...they adorable together and so very much in love! Congrats Katie and Nick! It was an honor to be a part of your special day! Thank you so much!

So we tried to do a family photo- but apparently with limited space- a big family- and trying to get yourself in the frame as well without looking awkward and keeping track of heads flying out of strange places- or not being covered up was a bit on the impossible side! this is really the only one that turned out- it it just so happened to be the silly one! who's foot is that on top of Anthony's head?! lol. What can i say we are a colorful bunch!

I love this book my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas- it has the coolest ideas for traditional and non-traditional tea parties- it even has a recipe for a "black tea martini" as well as menu's for every sort of party, bridal showers, little girl tea parties, picnic tea, russian tea, gentleman's tea, the list goes on, tea for all occasions! now that is my kind of book.

a Tuesday posting of the adorable baby Samuel,
I got to take pictures of his cute little self on Sunday, which was very fun
...he is a squirmy little thing, and with the gloom and about to rain sky which resulted in little light coming in, I had to use a lower shutter speed, so he was bit hard to capture since he was always moving his cute little legs and arms...he is going to be an action pack little boy!
but non the less we got some good ones when
he was so content in staring into Mom's eyes, how adorable.

this adorable bundle arrived Wednesday October 17th...
he is about 1 month old now...and growing fast. He gives some of the cutest expressions.

Anthony and I spent part of the weekend taking care of a cute little bundle of joy while his parents where out of town, we took him to the pumpkin patch where he owed and awed over the pumpkins, running through the field, tripping over his feet as usual yelling "pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin." He gave each one a kiss, said "hi" and than "bye" with a wave, than walked right to a big John Deer tracker yelling "wow" almost as if out of breath! he is adorable. anyways we had a good time, and picked up some ice cream for on the way home! Here are a few shots from our adventures.

yesterday i went to La Crosse, WI to spend the afternoon with Rachael and Dave, I was honored to shoot their engagement session. We had a great time exploring La Crosse (this is where they both go to school and will be getting married at Riverside Park) the weather was perfect, and the day was a beautiful one with the trees colored with fall. Dave and Rachael are extremely adorable together, they are quietly intimate with one another, sharing whispers and secrets, and little giggles, it was pretty cute. They will be married June 7th 2008, and i can't wait to see her dress, and the look on his face when she walks down the aisle, she is going to look drop dead gorgeous!!!

Hey all,

It really was a perfect day and a great beginning to a new life together forever!

Darling little Girl...Baby Marissa

On Thursday i was invited to the hospital to take pictures of Alicia and Matt's new baby girl. She is so adorable and very warm and cuddly. It is amazing that something so little can be created out of love, it really is a miracle! I had not really thought about it much before I guess but when you really think about it, God's ways are truly mysterious and yet wonderful! This cute little bundle of joy arrived Tuesday afternoon, she is so cute!

On the night you were born,

today i spent a few hours with Ben & Elizabeth...what an amazing couple...they are so cool!! we had a blast and i am so grateful to have been able to take these pictures for them. they have been married for 5 years now and thought it was about time to have some new pictures taken...they are so good at striking poses maybe they should go professional?! ;-) Ben has a great eye for detail and shots which proved to be super helpful...and Elizabeth - well she is a photographer at heart and a dental hygienist by day! (wink wink). Elizabeth and I are going to go on some photo adventures together some time soon. thanks guys for a super fun time, you are both so adorable and so in love!! a true testimony of God's love! oh and thanks for the yummy lunch---everything was wonderful.

They Have Gone

This time it was different.
This time I seem more at peace.
Everything was going.
Good and bad.
Then the world stopped and everything crashed.
I did not know where to to turn, or where to look.
Just frozen in time.
It seemed as though life would never go on,
but it does, slowly it does.

Oh, and the pain is so heavy, my eyes so heavy.
No more tears can rain down my wet checks.

This time it was different.
It just doesn't seem possible.
But yet deep down in my soul I felt it.
Even before it happened; just like it had the last.
I was just to hopeful to see.

They have gone.

Pete & Paula's Wedding Aug. 11th 2007

It was so much fun to be a part of Pete & Paula's. Besides the sizzling hotness of the day, the wedding was beautiful and the day went smoothly. It was fun to see to two of them together, they are so giddy together, and Anthony and I saw ourselves in them, we acted just like them! it was so cute to see them so much in love and so excited to start this grand adventure! I just loved the color combination, the blue and yellow look so vibrant with each other. And these people really know how to party! Everyone was on the dance floor getting their grove on, it was awesome!

Pete would only kiss Paula on the cheek during our group pictures...he was waiting for the real thing at the ceremony....so special.

got to watermark these images so no one steals them, sadly i did not realize that Paula's bridesmaid's head got covered...oppsie...for all you that are curious watermarks do not go on final prints...so not to worry ;-)

Life is Short....Live it in the word of God

Yesterday at church I was overwhelmed with excitement for all the new faces that I saw in the pews. We walked in and for a summer night the place was crawling with new people and old faces, people back from college. Fall is just around the corner and it will be exciting to see how Epikos grows! I found Andy's first sermon to be very touching. He speaks with such emotion and passion. He spoke of the bible and the word, and how it should be your life and your passion. I quote him, "Before you sit down at your computer, your tv, whatever it is, have you spent today in the word of God." Our lives our so busy and yet we fill it with junk continuously. Instead we should be filling it with God!

Later after church I went to go pick up some books upstairs that I want to read. Pastor Danny is requiring them for the membership class. 1. Christian Beliefs: twenty basics every Christian should know by Wayne Grudem 2 an unstoppable force: daring to be the church God had in mind by Erwin Raphael McManus 3 Building a Church of Small Groups by Bill Donahue and Russ Robinson

While on the way home I opened the first page of Christian Beliefs and read the dedication page.....i was like oh how sad...and I was about to read it to Anthony when we slammed on the breaks barely inches away from hitting a biker who was crossing the street and had not looked to see if any cars were coming. The dedication page reads,

"With thanks to God for the life and memory of
Racheal R. Freeman Grudem
Born June 2, 1982
Married to Alexander Grudem April 3, 2005
Died July 9, 2005"

I read on later that night and found out more about her life....She was the daughter in law of Dr. Wayne Grudem and died tragically in a car accident in St. Paul Minnesota.....is it only ironic that i read that right before Anthony and i could of smashed right into a man on a bike and killed him? Whats more I found this blog entry written by a friend of Alex Grudem (Racheal's husband of only 3 months).

last thursday our dear friends kacie and emily came from minnesota to denver for a visit. we took them to watercourse for breakfast on friday. we went to some crappy swim beach in morrison, but it was fun. saturday evening we settled in to watch 'mean girls', a movie which i am slightly embarassed to admit i was excited to see. about half way through the movie emily took a phone call and walked into the kitchen. i couldnt hear what was going on, but alyssa and kacie jumped up and ran to the kitchen because emily was frantic. "rachael is dead!" alyssa summed up into words the knot that was forming in my gut, "oh, alex, poor alex!" alex grudem is one of our closest friends from minneapolis. alyssa met him at school her freshman year and they have since then been very close. alex and i quickly became great friends when i moved to minnesota. we were roomates for a while until alyssa and i were married. on april 3rd of this year, alyssa and i went back to minneapolis for the wedding of alex and rachael freeman. alex and rachael started dating in february of '04. she was already part of our circle of frends as well as her brother luke. they were engadged in august of that year. admittedly alyssa and i never got as close to rachael as we were to alex, but we gladly called her our friend, and alex was very much in love. he treated her like a queen. kinda put the guys i know, including myself, to shame. rachael was killed in a car accident on saturday july 9th. hours after we got the news, and after we had all calmed down, we were in the car headed for minnesota. there was no way we were going to be away from alex. on our drive alyssa talked to oliver, alex's brother. he told us that upon seeing her body at the hospital with luke, alex began praising God. He praised God for being sovereign and for giving him such a beatiful gift if only for a short while. it was the most exauhsting week of my life. very little sleep and more crying than i have ever done. most of the time we spent just hanging out with alex at his apartment. we spent days sitting in his living room looking at wedding pictures, helping alex with the 10 or so volumes of mix c.d.'s he planned to play at her visitation, sitting outside smoking cigarettes, remembering rachael, crying, and holding eachother. he was surounded by family and friends, some of which traveled from all over the states to be there. alex was not the only person devastated by rachaels death, but everyone seemed to surround him. i think it made people feel closer to rachael, being with alex at their apartment, her jacket still on the coat rack and her shoes still outside the door. there was a visitation on wednesday. we saw her body. it didnt look like her. the body was bloated, grey, caked with make-up, and most noticably there was no smile on her face. no life. not her. this experience changed many peoples lives profoundly, and in different ways. a father and mother lost their daughter of 23 years. a brother lost his little sister whom he adored. a 25 year old man is now a widower after 3 months of marriage. many people will miss their friend, all the beauty and even all the things we wouldnt consider very flattering. emily said she wished her friend and ex-roomate could still be there even just to annoy her. friendships were strengthened and even some new bonds were made out of this tragedy. many came to understand we are not our flesh. and some who do not know Jesus came to see a picture of his love. there was a funeral and burial on thursday. it was beautiful. alex's faith is being tested, but it is strong, because his foundation is in the Love of God. he is struggling, having a hard time praying, but i know Gods grace can handle that. we had to leave early the next morning to come back home to denver. it was very difficult to leave. we want to be there for alex in the middle of the night if he needs us, but we know from what we saw, that he wont be alone. God has placed in his life what he needs to go on. its just hard not knowing what part we can play. getting back to life as usual is going to be the hardest part for us. i cant even comprehend what it will be like for alex, rachaels friends, and all her family. i pray that Gods Grace, Love, and Peace be poured out on them all.

Whats more is today on our anniversary Anthony's mother's cousin will be layed to rest. Rick Carlson was a father of young children and tragically died last week, it was unexpected, he had fallen from a roof due to a seizure he had while working on a house, he was very injured they thought he might be paralyzed...and than he had a seizure that would not stop, the doctors put him into a drug induced coma, and he never came out and was declared brain dead. suddenly in one moment his life was taken away. he was very young and loved by many. We don't know when our last days will be, but we can live them fully for God and never waste a moment, live in the moment, don't live in the future or the past, but live in today.

Ironically after learning all this and the sermon's subject i read these passages in Grudem's book last night:

"God's very words are "living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12). The words of the Bible nourish us spiritually, because Paul says it is the Word of God that is "able to build you up" (Acts 20:32) and Jesus says, "Man shall not live by bread along, but by every word that comes from the moth of God" (Matthew 4:4).

Under the dedication page for Rachael it says:

And Job said, "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."
(Job 1:21)

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

(Romans 8:28)

"HE will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

(Revelation 21:4)

My Loved One Is Gone

Dear Lord. I miss my loved one so. there's a huge gap in my life. Will it ever be filled? In all this, I am grateful for friends and family who show they care and Comfort and help me find my way through all of this. Let me recall and cherish the good times, to let the bad memories go.

How will I bear my loss? I long for the company of one who was so full of life like the roses outside my window. As my roses will fade from winter's chill, so, too, have I seen my loved one fade. I gaze at my lovely garden with its splendid array of color. I'm reminded that my dear one who loved You will blossom in full glory for You in heaven.

Our One Year Anniversary!

One year ago today, Anthony and I said "I Do" It was by far the best day of our lives! It is insane to think that one year has gone and another year of life and love will begin. The first year was hard, difficult to adjust to life together, to learn of each others strange habits! And to keep in our first and foremost thoughts to always put the other first! It was challenging but we made it, and i never thought it possible to love a person even more than on our wedding day, but our love has grown. And it is possible to love a person more than you ever thought possible, because I love Anthony more than I ever have before. I look forward to all the trials, hardship, days of perfect joy, happiness and love that will come in our future years together. I pray that God would bless our marriage and give us many more years to come, for only God knows how long we each have, and with that said live & love every day to the fullest for you never know when it might be your last.

I wanted to write a little something for my Anthony.....something I found in a very adorable book I was given by his mother. I will start with a verse:

Thank You For The Man I Love

He gazes at me from across the packed room, We're at just another meeting but I dressed to look my best. Do I see the same twinkle in his eyes I saw when we first met? Do I see the same look he wore on our wedding day? Am i so blessed that he still gazes at me with the same love and pride? Thank You, Lord, for that look. Thank you for today and for him.
Help me show to him the same love and thoughtfulness as when we first married. In our hurried schedules, let us look for time to spend with each other. Sometimes I love even sharing a second glass of iced tea on the patio at sundown.
I think of changes we've faced. We have fallen in love with each other over and over again, even in the midst of change.

so it is a little bit past my bedtime, but my tummy is feeling queezy and i can't sleep. pretty sure it is from alterra coffee, i went at 7pm with Stephanie, and i usually always get plan old tea of which i rather enjoy and is super cheap, this time i decided to be adventurous and order a mocha blend (cold) with whip cream, well now my tummy hurts (way to sweet- don't recommend it) and buzzed from all the coffee that was in it (i never drink coffee so i am really feeling it). i just want to go to bed.

anywho, needless to say I am up and not feeling good, so i wanted to share something.

i little more than a year ago a wonderful girl and friend named Erica recommended finding a life verse, I have often wondered what my life verse was, but was never to sure, nothing really stood out to me, but maybe i just was not looking hard enough for it. but i thought i would be patient and it would come be revealed. well i have this cd that i like to listen to, it is a memory bible verse song cd (i know sounds cheezy) but it really helps to memorize verses. anywho, one of the verses on the cd i have always liked a lot. well than this Sunday at church pastor Danny read the same verse again, and it hit me, this i think is my life verse. it is so perfect for me, mainly since i am always at worry, and often doubt myself, my abilities, who i am, and what i am doing, and my purpose in life! so this is perfect, i shall write it to my soul and bind it to my heart. drum roll please.......

"I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."

car broken into...again!

Anthony and I woke up on this beautiful Monday morning only to find our car had been broken into once again! It was even parked on the good street right in front of our apartment building. So frustrating. So he was an hour late to work, but on the high note we are getting faster at cleaning it up, soon we will be experts, we went from a 5 hour episode, to a 1 hour and like 20 minute clean up session, a much improvement. Luckily insurance will pay for 1-800-glass which i highly recommend, they come right to you. Oh well, the day is not over yet, it has yet to be a good one! I think i will do some scrap booking, and do some design and research on printing company! Hope everyone's Monday is off to a better start than ours ;-)

So today I went and met with a Rebecca, a bride who I am going to be photographing her and her future hubby's wedding in September. We had a grand time. We went and checked out the locations and just chatted, the church is so beautiful! It is this little brick chapel, with Nordic type decor to it, it is going to be really fun to photograph in!

Also- Anthony met with his boss today, and his summer internship at Heartland Advisor's has turned into a continuous job until he graduates school, at that point they will have another meeting with his boss and look into a future full time position!! Horray, no more job searching anymore! So for his last year of school he will be working part-time at Heartland!! I am so proud of him.....did I mention that he loves working there, he loves the people, Heartland is all he talks about now days! It is good that he loves his job so much, so I am extremely happy for him.

Like Aimee, he really likes to get dirty, dirty in mud, not your traditional biker, they bike in the mud, Aimee even tries to jump huge logs lying in the path...

This is Aimee. She is beautiful. She likes to ride bikes, get dirty, and just be crazy! She loves little kiddies....and she is a wonderful aunt of many nieces and nephews. Is she not gorgeous or what! Here she is modeling for me at Jazz in the Park, which by the way was a super fun night, maybe a little too fun. It involved hysterical (can't catch my breath) laughs, cheap wine, cheese and crackers, dancing in the street with hoots and hollers of cars, as well as aimee hollering "woohoo" and the many colorful conversation topics between her, mister Brian and I. All these topics are simply unmentionable ;-) lol.
